Last week, our Fatime Rasimova, Human Resources Generalist, led a Soft Skills Forum session about Imposter Syndrome at Work and she started by admitting she felt it while preparing the presentation itself.
That’s the thing about imposter syndrome: even when you know what it is, the voice still shows up, whispering you’re a fraud who got lucky.
Fatime broke down the five types we see most often:
• The Perfectionist: Perfect or failure, no in-between
• The Expert: Must master everything before starting
• The Natural Genius: Struggle means lack of talent
• The Soloist: Asking for help proves fraud
• The Superhuman: Must excel at everything, always
Recognising your pattern is the first step. The next? Reframing the narrative: 
“I just got lucky” → “I created the opportunity” 
“Anyone could do this” → “But they didn’t. YOU did” 
“I don’t deserve this” → “I EARNED this”
 
Because here’s the truth: if you feel like an imposter, it usually means you’re in spaces that challenge you. You’re doing work that matters. That’s not evidence you don’t belong, it’s proof you’re growing.

Yesterday, Fatime, Zorica, Tiana and Natasha were at DisruptHR Skopje 4.0.
 
14 speakers. 5 minutes each. A lot of ground covered: from how we hire, to how we lead; to what we actually owe people once they’re through the door.
 
A few things that felt familiar:
→ Hiring doesn’t end on day one. The quality of work after that is where it really matters.
→ The cost of silence in a team is real and often underestimated.
→ Your employer brand is only as interesting as the people behind it.
 
Events like this are a good reminder that the conversations happening in HR right now aren’t just about HR. They’re about how work gets done, who does it, and what we owe each other in the process.

Three days. Six cities. One incredible team. 🌍

Our sourcing team traded their usual screens for three days of face-to-face collaboration in Stockholm diving into workshops, sharing ideas over lunch, and exploring the city together. Because the best strategies aren't just built in meeting rooms; they're built through genuine connection.

A couple of highlights from our Skopje office from this week.

Johan, Jonas, and Berry from the Stockholm office spent three days with the team - packed with good conversations, alignment on key topics, and some of the best discussions we've had around the Middlecon integration. A reminder of why being in the same room always matters.

We also had the honor of welcoming H.E. Ola Sohlström, Ambassador of Sweden, for a meaningful conversation. As a Swedish company rooted in Macedonia, moments like these reflect what we believe in - that strong Swedish-Macedonian collaboration is built one real conversation at a time.
