One of the biggest misconceptions about software development is that it starts with writing code. For us, it starts much earlier.

Before opening an IDE, we're thinking about questions like:
💭 How will this scale?
💭 How will different services communicate?
💭 What happens if requirements change next year?

Taking time to answer those questions upfront usually saves a lot more time later. 🟠 A solid architecture makes every feature that follows easier to build.

Every few months, there's a new framework everyone seems excited about. 🟠 We like exploring new technologies too. But when we're building software that's expected to run reliably for years, trends aren't the deciding factor.

We look at things like:
✔ Long-term support
✔ Stability
✔ Community and ecosystem
✔ How easy it will be to maintain

Sometimes the newest technology is the right choice. Sometimes it isn't. And at Scopisto, we believe that good engineering is about choosing what fits the problem, not what's getting the most attention.
