Automation can make a good process faster. It can also make a bad process faster.
Before investing in new technology, it’s worth taking a step back and asking: is the underlying process actually working well?
Automating an inefficient process won’t solve the problem. It may simply make the inefficiency happen faster and at a larger scale.
The strongest automation strategies start with understanding the process, identifying what can be improved, and then choosing the right technology.
Optimize the process first. Automate it second.
