Moodle Specialist
About the project
Pentalog - a Globant division is searching for a Moodle Specialist (with PHP experience).
Our client and partner is an American company that prides itself with providing high-quality online courses, aimed to prepare students for success. The Scrum-based project requires a team player, ready to help in the development and improvement of our client’s e-learning platform.
Job requirements:
• Experience working with Moodle;
• Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL;
• Demonstrated experience in web development including HTML, Javascript and CSS;
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools and processes;
• Analytical mindset, strong work ethic and thoroughness;
• Good communication and English language skills.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and extend Moodle functionalities in order to cover project requirements;
• Ensure with technical expertise, analysis, spikes on new business requirements;
• Document the Moodle implemented solution, integrations with 3rd parties, data workflow, etc.
• Provide support for configuration, administration, maintenance and update of the Moodle environments;
• Troubleshoot Moodle issue;
• Provide support to development team (example of requests: to fix tests or questions in quiz; update an existing course; solve errors on course import/export; etc.);
• Be part of a Scrum team and work closely with the Solution Architect/ Scrum Masters/Product Owners to validate features.
