What happens when gets access to industrial software?
Giving it more freedom is not necessarily the answer.

At ISD, our approach is almost the opposite: Give AI better context. Stronger constraints. Clearer evidence.

During our latest 5PM Club session, Igor Onofrei our senior .NET developer shared how this approach is already being applied within the Zhero Systems project, across backend services, workstation software and device integrations.

Instead of removing engineering controls to gain speed, the team built AI into an environment where:
→ quality gates determine what can move forward
→ production and deployment actions stay restricted
→ tests provide evidence, not assumptions
→ incidents become permanent engineering constraints
→ critical decisions remain with engineers

One example says a lot about the approach.

A real port collision occurred during development. Instead of fixing it once and moving on, the issue was converted into a reusable constraint, so the same mistake should not need to be discovered twice.

That is where AI becomes interesting for industrial software. Not when it simply generates more code.

But when it helps engineering teams reuse knowledge, shorten feedback loops and deliver faster without increasing operational risk.

For companies building MES, WCS, machine software or other business-critical industrial systems, that distinction matters.

At ISD, we do everything with a purpose, even relaxing.

Back in the second part of July, our team left the office behind and enjoyed a day kayaking together.

There is no better place to experience this than the Nistru River, one of Moldova’s oldest and most beautiful natural treasures.

Flowing through forests, limestone cliffs, and peaceful landscapes, the reminds you that the strongest journeys are never rushed. They are built through patience, coordination, and moving forward together.

The experience proved us that project management and kayaking share more similarities than we often realize.

A successful project is not about one person paddling harder than everyone else. It's about alignment. Everyone has a role. Everyone contributes to the pace. Communication must be constant, adjustments happen in real time, and trust becomes the foundation.

Alongside the ISD team, we were joined by our NL colleagues Chris Vroom, and Annemieke van der Leeuw, Sanne Kleijberg-Linders, Astrid van Staveren from Inther Group. It provided once again that strong companies are built by bringing people together.

Team-building it is an investment in the collaboration, trust, and relationships that later define how we deliver projects for our customers. The stronger the team, the stronger the solutions we create together.

After months of learning, a new generation of graduates successfully completed the Java Fundamentals course organized in collaboration with Tekwill Academy.

𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.

But first, learn, build, fail, improve, and build again. That was the spirit of our Java Internship Program. ☕

Over the past weeks, our interns worked on a real-world challenge: developing a simplified Warehouse Management System inspired by the solutions we build together with Inther Group for warehouse automation projects.

The application included stock management, picking and replenishment processes, bulk data imports, and even a chatbot powered by Spring AI.

But the experience was about much more than coding. The team worked in an environment, participated in daily stand-ups, adapted to changing requirements, and presented their final solution, just like in a real software project.

A special thank you to our mentors, Dumitru Dîrul and Nicolae Gherta, for guiding the team throughout the program, sharing their knowledge, and helping participants experience what working in a professional development environment really means.

For us, an internship is about more than learning by doing. It's about investing in the next generation of engineers and contributing to the growth of a stronger, more skilled IT community in .
