In the Baltic states, a landmark event for Uzbek youth abroad took place — the first international hackathon “UzHack”, bringing together talented students from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The project was implemented with the support of the Public Foundation Vatandoshlar, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Latvia, and the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks, including by Aliaksandr Piatrou, Chairman of the Board of UZINFOCOM EUROPE.
“UzHack” became a powerful platform for unlocking the potential of a new generation: over the course of 48 hours, participants developed innovative solutions based on real-world cases provided by key governmental and technological organizations of Uzbekistan.
More than 50 participants took part in the hackathon, forming 12 strong teams. Each demonstrated a high level of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
The culmination of the project was the final stage, where the top 4 teams competed. This phase featured intense intellectual competition, with participants presenting well-developed solutions offering practical and scalable approaches to real challenges.
The hackathon cases were provided by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, UZINFOCOM, and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan — setting a high standard and allowing participants to work on real challenges related to the economy and digital transformation.
A distinctive feature of “UzHack” was not only the quality of the solutions presented, but also the atmosphere — a true synergy of ideas, energy, and ambition. The hackathon became a focal point for young leaders ready to create impactful solutions.
“UzHack” has confidently established itself as a new international platform connecting talented Uzbek youth abroad and creating opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and the development of future leaders.
