Meet Edgars BΔ«beris β he's just joined the D8 family as our new Chief Sales Officer, and honestly, we can't wait for you to get to know him.
So who is Edgars?
Edgars joins us after almost a decade in the financial technology space, most recently working in a leading Nordic software development company, where he spent years opening doors, building partnerships, and delivering banking software to MEA region's most demanding customers.
His direct experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is exactly the perspective D8 needs as we scale internationally. His career has taken him from business analyst to regional sales leader, so he understands well both sides, how the software works and what it takes to close enterprise deals around it. Alongside that, he spent nearly five years running his own handmade backpack brand, which gives him a founder's instinct for revenue and ownership that we value on the leadership team. He's currently completing his MBA at Riga Business School.
Outside of work, Edgars is a keen cyclist who spends as much time as he can on his gravel bike - a perfect fit with D8's culture.
Martin Golding, who led our sales team as CSO and built it into what it is today, isn't going anywhere - he's stepping into a new role on our Board of Directors, where he'll focus on the bigger picture: long-term strategy and growth. And he's the one who hand-picked Edgars to take the reins.
