As AI agents become more capable of making decisions, connecting systems and acting autonomously, questions about control, trust and governance are becoming increasingly important. 🔐

These topics were at the centre of the discussion that our CEO Artūrs Vasiļevskis joined at the Moldova Digital Summit. During the panel "Autonomy at Scale: How Agentic AI is Transforming Digital Ecosystems", he joined experts from BRINEL | IQANTO, Orange Moldova, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Amdaris.

Together, they explored how organisations can benefit from increasingly autonomous AI systems while maintaining trust, accountability, human oversight and AI sovereignty.

This year's Moldova Digital Summit brought together more than 2,000 participants and 90+ speakers to discuss the future of the digital economy.

AI can make learning more accessible and inclusive, and we're excited to explore its potential together with schools. 🧑‍🏫

Together with the Riga City Council, we have launched a pilot project in two schools – Riga 75th Primary School and Riga 1st Primary School – Development Centre.

The goal of the pilot project is to develop an inclusive, personalised, and digitally supported learning process, while also helping schools strengthen educational quality management.

Using our AI-driven speech technology, lessons can be transcribed in real time, translated into multiple languages, and automatically turned into summaries and knowledge check questions. This helps students revisit key information, supports different learning styles, and can reduce language and comprehension barriers.

We are encouraged by the interest this initiative has received and look forward to continuing the pilot. We hope projects like this will help shape a learning environment where technology supports both teachers and students, making education more accessible for everyone. 💡

Our CEO Artūrs Vasiļevskis is currently in Germany as part of the Latvian delegation led by Viedās administrācijas un reģionālās attīstības ministrija Minister Raimonds Čudars. 🇩🇪

The visit brings together public sector and technology leaders to discuss digital transformation, AI, innovation and closer cooperation between Latvia and Germany.

Artūrs is there to speak about Tilde’s AI-driven language technologies and TildeOpen LLM, our foundational large language model. He’s also highlighting the need for secure, reliable and multilingual AI solutions that support Europe’s digital sovereignty.

At the “Building Europe’s Digital Future: Trust, Governance & Resilience” forum at the Embassy of Latvia in Germany / Latvijas vēstniecība Vācijā, he also showcased Tilde Event Assistant, our speech technology for live translation and transcription.

The delegation is also taking part in NØRD 2026, one of Northern Germany’s largest digitalisation conferences, bringing together around 300 companies and organisations and more than 3000 visitors. The conference was opened by Minister-President Manuela Schwesig, who highlighted the importance of stronger cooperation across democratic Baltic Sea region countries and recognised Latvia’s experience in digital governance.

Exciting news – our research team has secured an additional 𝟯𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗚𝗣𝗨 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 on the LUMI supercomputer to continue developing TildeOpen LLM! 🚀

TildeOpen is our own foundational AI model that we built last year. It’s a reliable base that can be fine-tuned, adapted, and afterwards integrated into AI applications. Built on EU supercomputers with support from the European Commission, it supports local deployment, making it a strong fit for organisations that need secure, on-prem solutions.

Today, fine-tuned versions of the model are already used by governments and other privacy-conscious organisations for tasks such as translation, summarisation, and question answering.

With this new compute grant, we will start developing more advanced 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 capabilities. In practice, this means enabling TildeOpen to combine multiple tasks into a complete workflow rather than handling each request as a separate, standalone action.

For example, instead of only translating a document or only summarising it, the model could process information across several steps and complete a broader task from start to finish.

For a long time, businesses didn’t delay AI because they didn’t understand it. They delayed it because they couldn’t fully control it.

Most AI language models are still trained mainly on English and other major languages, which leaves many European languages underrepresented. 👨‍💻

This can show up in everyday use. Output in smaller languages may sound less natural or miss important nuances, which becomes especially noticeable in translation and professional contexts.
