Today, Delska welcomed the Swedbank Group Technology & Data Risk team from the Baltics and Sweden to our newly launched 10MW data center in Riga for an engaging exchange on the future of secure and resilient digital infrastructure.

The visit sparked insightful discussions around security, data protection, operational resilience, sustainability, and risk management in modern IT environments. Our CTO Rihards Kaļetovs and Compliance Manager Andris Valainis shared in-depth perspectives on data center operations, answered numerous thoughtful questions, and guided the team through the facility’s technical capabilities.

The level of interest and engagement throughout the tour made it clear that the experience left a strong impression on the visitors — both from the infrastructure and operational perspective.

🍃 Delska welcomed "Young Energy Europe” participants — Energy Scouts

Today’s visit, organized with the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce, became a high-value exchange — driven by precise, in-depth technical discussions with Latvian companies actively preparing to implement energy efficiency projects.

The level of curiosity stood out. Conversations extended well beyond schedule, focusing on implementation challenges, measurable impact, and proven energy-saving approaches.

At Delska’s newly launched 10MW data center in Riga — and across all six data centers in Latvia and Lithuania — energy efficiency is engineered into every layer: advanced cooling, high-efficiency infrastructure, and continuous, data-driven (incl. AI-based) optimization of energy use.

This was not a one-way presentation, but a focused exchange of experience — practical, peer-driven, and centered on real ways to reduce carbon footprint.

Looking forward to the participants’ final project presentations this autumn!

🌍 Delska’s new 10 MW data center launch gains global media attention — featured on Yahoo Finance and other leading international outlets, spotlighting the Baltics as an emerging hub for AI-ready, high-performance digital infrastructure.

Recognized as one of the most advanced and sustainable data centers in Northern Europe, the project reflects both technological ambition and strategic significance.

As Speaker of the Parliament Daiga Mieriņa emphasized, “I am confident that this will become a significant milestone in Latvia’s digital development, proving our ability not only to follow global trends but also to actively shape them.”

Prime Minister Evika Siliņa added that “the opening of the Delska data center is a strong signal of Latvia’s economic maturity, and that digital infrastructure forms the foundation of both economic resilience and national security.”
