Reliable communication is essential for everyday operations, but it becomes even more critical in emergency situations.
Today, we're highlighting a recent project carried out by our technical team, combining the modernization of a telephone system with the installation of an AMOK emergency alert solution.

What is an AMOK system?

An AMOK system is an emergency alert solution designed to quickly notify people in the event of a serious security threat. Through dedicated loudspeakers, it enables alerts and safety instructions to be communicated clearly across designated areas.

Our intervention included:

- Migrating the existing telephone system to our Mixvoip 2.0 Cloud PBX.
- Installing dedicated horn speakers for emergency announcements.
- Deploying the necessary cabling to connect the speakers.

Beyond the technical installation, the goal is simple: making everyday communication easier while helping people stay informed and safe when it matters most.

Behind a major international sporting event, connectivity supports much more than the scoreboard.

The FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium & Netherlands 2026 brings thousands of visitors to the Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre, with around 10,000 people on site every day for 16 days of competition.

Mixvoip is providing dedicated internet connections supporting several critical parts of the event infrastructure.
These connections are used for:
- ticketing and access management,
- on-site payment systems,
- operational systems across the venue,
- and TV broadcasting to dozens of countries.

The required capacity evolved several times in the run-up to the event. The latest upgrade was delivered just three days before the start of the competition, ensuring the infrastructure was ready for the final requirements.

When thousands of spectators, transactions and international broadcasts depend on the same infrastructure, connectivity becomes a key part of the event.

For the visitors, it should remain invisible. It simply needs to work.

With the current summer heat, keeping children hydrated matters more than ever.

We have a stock of brand-new, never-used reusable water bottles that we would like to give to children who can put them to good use.
