"Many people, when they hear that the interview for my team's Junior QA position lasts 2+ hours, say that I'm a sadist and I shouldn't torture innocent candidates like that.
But the truth is that I don't torture them, I get to know them.

Once at a conference, a colleague of ours said that he was not recruiting a workforce, but people for him and his team to work with. And that he would rather give preference to a technically weak but humane candidate than to a more professional one who is not really a good person”

“Многие, узнав о том, что собеседование в мою команду на позицию Junior QA длится 2+ часа, говорят, что я садист и нельзя так мучать ни в чём не повинных кандидатов.
Но правда в том, что я их не мучаю - я с ними знакомлюсь.

Как-то на конференции один наш коллега сказал, что набирает в свою команду не рабочую силу, а людей, с которыми ему и его команде работать. И, что он скорее отдаст предпочтение технически слабому, но человечному кандидату, чем более профессиональному, который по жизни…. нехороший человек ;)”
