How to live over 100 years and stay healthy? Moreover, what are the tips & tricks that help to increase our daily energy even with such a busy life? Although it may seem difficult to achieve, there are lots of proven ways to do it.
Many thanks to Vitalijus Majorovas, a sleep biohacker, who presented a very interesting and inspirational presentation on this important lifestyle topic to the Vertex team. We all have got many advice and a really big bunch of inspiration!
Here are some tips from Vitalijus for those who want to boost their daily energy and to live longer and healthier:
✔️ The importance of our behaviour is critical: don‘t smoke, eat more wild plants and legumes, avoid processed food, and don‘t forget to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine.
✔️ Optimize the level of Mitochondria – the membrane-bound cell organelles, also known as „energy makers”. According to Vitalijus, Mitochondria in simple words is the place where we create our energy. Unfortunately, when getting older people lose Mitochondrias, although there are many ways how to increase their level.
✔️ Add MCT oil to your food, usually found in coconut. Try to add a bit of MCT oil to the coffee – according to Vitalijus, it‘s very good for our energy. Coconut oil, which is very rich in MCTs, is also suitable.
✔️ Avoid fluoride (found in public water, toothpaste, mouthwash liquids), fructose (choose berries instead of fruit), sugar. "Don‘t eat food without nutrition. Snacking is not good, make at least 2-3 hours pause between food intakes", - advises Vitalijus.
✔️ Cold therapy, infrared, sauna, high-intensity trainings and fasting for at least 16 hours also help to create energy.
✔️ Try breathing for stress management – concentration on breathing really works and can make a huge difference.
