Dear friends,
Our Vilnius Go and Rust community has just turned 2 years old. Although we are still at the beginning of our journey, this is a big milestone for us. We are very happy that we started building this community – along the way we’ve learned so much, discovered new ideas, and made many great friends.

Thank you all for your participation, your opinions, constructive criticism, ideas, questions, suggestions, and of course for your friendship. We have many plans ahead.

A huge thanks to the companies who supported our meetups – you are simply the best friends and true tech enthusiasts.

So far, we have achieved:
1.12 meetups.

2.Our community grew from 0 to 1,062 members (across two groups).

3.We raised interesting and thought-provoking topics – we were the first to speak about ZIG and V.

4.We experimented with different formats – from classic meetups with an audience to banquets with round tables.

5.We gained many new international friends – thank you for your friendship!

6.We increased our expertise through many topics and discussions.

7.We invested time in great leisure activities with like-minded people.

We are not going to stop here. I am confident that with our combined efforts we can take our community to new heights. If you are not with us yet – we are waiting for you!

Dear friends and colleagues,

On July 3rd, we hosted our 8th Go meetup — and for the first time, introduced the V language as well!

A huge thank-you to Oxylabs and especially Aistė Stankevičiūtė for providing an excellent platform for the event.

We received lots of positive feedback about the topics and the opportunity to explore V.

Following tradition, we continued our conversations and networking at the afterparty in Sparta Bar.

Thanks to everyone who joined us! Your feedback and active participation inspire us to keep going.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On August 9th, 2024, we held our latest, but very unusual, meetup.

What made it unusual?

* There were no technical topics.
* It took place on a Friday.
* The format was a banquet with food and drinks.
* We didn’t know how many people would attend.
* There was no set agenda—just a desire to chat and share real-life experiences.
What happened?
* 60% of those who registered for the meetup attended.
* We had great conversations. We didn’t even have enough time until 10:00 PM, so we continued chatting at the after-party.
* There was plenty of food left over!
* We realized how interesting it is to listen to the real experiences of other specialists—how instructive and useful it can be.
* We made new friends and connections.
* We had a fantastic time.
We realized that we definitely want to repeat this format.
Thank you all so much for an interesting experience and a wonderful time. I'm sure we'll see you again soon.

Hello, friends and colleagues,
On June 6, 2024, we had a Rust and ZIG meetup. Thank you very much to everyone who participated. We can safely say that this was our best meetup yet.
It was nice to see many new faces. Thank you for your excellent mood and active participation. The friendly and truly homely atmosphere is all thanks to you.
Our community aims to have participants who are open to communication and discussion. At this meetup, we all proved together that we can be such a community.
We continued our conversations at the after-party, which showed that we have a lot of common interests and topics. This really inspires us to move forward and organize more meetups.
We've seen a lot of interest in Ziglang. Based on your reactions and questions, we realized that this language truly has unique features. We will continue to introduce you to this language.
