Please heed all warnings from official sources like the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and local authorities. Your safety is paramount:
Evacuate immediately if you are in a high-risk or low-lying area, especially near the Kelani River and other major basins.
Do not attempt to cross floodwaters, whether on foot or in a vehicle.
Stay in contact with your family and neighbors.
Monitor emergency broadcasts for the latest updates.
We are deeply grateful for the unwavering dedication of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, Medical Teams, and all First Responders who are working tirelessly to save lives and provide essential aid. Their efforts, even in the most dangerous conditions, exemplify true heroism.
