With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Mr. Nelu Fernando, a true giant of Sri Lanka’s advertising industry.

Mr. Nelu Fernando, founder of the iconic Nelu’s Studio in the 1980s, later converted to Nelu’s Advertising, was widely regarded as the father of modern-day BTL advertising in Sri Lanka. He was not just a businessman, but a visionary who transformed how brands connected with people on the ground.

For nearly three decades, he pioneered the introduction of new technologies and production methods to the local advertising scene, setting standards that many in the industry still follow today. His work shaped campaigns, careers, and an entire generation of advertising professionals.

This is truly the end of an era, but his legacy will live on in every activation, every production floor, and every creative mind he inspired.

Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone whose journey he touched.
May he rest in peace. 🕊️
