SLTC has made a request to the Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology Ajith P. Perera yesterday (3) to compile the Data Protection Law, to take immediate actions to publish the Sinhala copy of the Cyber Security Act and to make Privacy Policies.

The Minister was also informed that the use of DPI will violate the human rights of the social media users as it affects their privacy.

Perera the minister of Digital Infastructure and Information Technology ministry that Sri Lanka is currently lacking privacy and data protection laws and new cyber security bill may lead to Filtering,Tracking or Monitoring of content.
