සිද්ධහත්ත කුමරුගේ අභිනිෂ්ක්රමණය, රාහුල කුමරුගේ උපත, ප්රථම ධර්ම දේශනාව වන දම්සක් පැවතුම් සූත්රය දෙසා වදාළ ඉසිපතන මිගදායේ අසිරිය මෙන්ම ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ප්රථම සංඝ සම්මතයද සිදුවූ අතිපූජනීය ඇසළ පුන් පොහෝ දිනය අදයි.
