Experiencing a power outage or a blackout on any given day can be normal these days. However, if you have any printers connected to the power outlet, your device can be damaged, especially when there’s no UPS to support the devices.

Best action you can do to prevent this is keep you printer / Photocopier disconnected or switched off from the power outlet before the power cut. make sure you keep it switched of during the transition of power between generator and main grid. Even when you are using the generator minimize the usage of printer / photocopier as much as you can. When you want to take the print outs take it and switch off the machine after use. Especially small generators do not provide sustainable supply constantly. So it could damage your device. we are getting more repairs than ever these days, most of them are power related issue.

Please keep in mind, This applies to all electronic products powered by electricity. Keep them safe. Spare parts cost is very high these days...
