LABSters came together once again to celebrate the spirit of Vesak through our annual Vesak Dansala.
With the support of over 130 volunteers, more than 2,300 packs were distributed to members of the community, while 50 loaves were donated to the Sri Jinananda Children’s Development Centre, an orphanage in Colombo. The celebration also featured a special Bakthi Gee segment done by Sysco LABS' own Music Club, bringing colleagues together through music, reflection, and shared tradition. More than a celebration, the Vesak Dansala reflects the values of compassion, generosity, and community that continue to bring LABSters together beyond the workplace — reinforcing our purpose of connecting the world to share food and care for one another.

With teams representing Sysco LABS, LSEG, IFS, Circles, WSO2, Synergen, VitalHub Innovations Lab, Cloud Solutions International, and PickMe taking the field, Tech Liga ’26 brought together 14 teams from across Sri Lanka’s tech industry for a full day of futsal, competition, and team spirit at Club Fusion.

Hosted by Sysco LABS Ministry of Fun, the league stage featured 42 matches across two groups, with Sysco LABS Team A topping Group A after winning five out of six matches with one draw, while Sysco LABS Team B dominated Group B with a flawless six-match winning streak. The knockout stages saw LSEG Team B edge past Sysco LABS Teams A in a thrilling 3-2 semi-final, while IFS Team A secured a 4-1 victory over Sysco LABS Team B to book their place in the final, becoming the Champions and carrying home their rightful Tech Liga '26 shield.

Special recognition goes to Buddhi Rajapaksha from IFS, who earned Best Goalkeeper after conceding just four goals throughout the tournament, and Sharaf Hussain from LSEG, who was named Best Overall Player after an outstanding campaign featuring 20 goals and three hat-tricks. Congratulations to Sysco LABS A, led by Naweedh Ahmadh, on finishing as 2nd runners-up, LSEG B, led by Heshan Steve, on becoming 1st runners-up, and Tech Liga ’26 champions IFS A, led by Buddhi Rajapaksha, on securing the championship.
