As part of our Trailblazer knowledge-sharing series, our recent ProvisionX training session brought together colleagues to explore how intelligent platform engineering is transforming server infrastructure delivery. Led by Thilina Viraj, Rashintha Peiris, and Vidushika Dasanayake, the session showcased how ProvisionX combines AI-driven recommendations, Infrastructure as Code, automated governance, and multi-cloud orchestration to reduce provisioning times from days to approximately 30 minutes—all while maintaining enterprise-grade security, compliance, and cost efficiency.

At the latest Trailblazer session, "Beyond the Password: How Identity Keeps Sysco Secure," Sysco LABS colleagues explored the fundamentals of Identity and Access Management (IAM), from authentication and authorization to MFA, RBAC, identity protocols, and Microsoft Entra ID.

Conducted by Anas Ilyas - Associate Lead Analyst, the session provided practical insights into how secure access is managed across the enterprise, helping colleagues strengthen their security awareness while building knowledge that supports their roles and future growth. Sysco LABS recently connected with students from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura for an engaging session on Cloud, DevOps and Server Engineering, where they explored cloud technologies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, monitoring, and system reliability through practical, industry-led discussions.
The session was led by Thilina Viraj, Technical Lead – Cloud Services, Rashintha Peiris, Associate Lead – Cloud Services, and Senara Sudasinghe, Associate – People Operations, who shared their expertise and provided students with valuable insights into the technologies and career pathways shaping modern engineering.
Through initiatives like these, Sysco LABS Academy continues to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world engineering, giving students valuable exposure to emerging technologies while inspiring the next generation of technology talent.
