Here are some highlights from the "AI & Data Analytics Summit" organized by BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT last week.
Our CEO, Mario Gooneratne had the opportunity to share his experience on the panel discussion “New Era of Helpful AI in Service Industry,” alongside an excellent panel of industry leaders:

During the session, Mario provided insights into how AI-led automation is transforming lending operations across Asia. He also discussed the phased approach being taken with major banks in the region, including our ongoing project with a leading commercial bank in Thailand to modernize their retail, SME, and corporate lending platforms.
The panel also covered emerging trends such as the rise of AI-powered underwriting models that utilize alternative data sources, from ride-hailing apps to telco data, to better serve SME and MSME markets with smart, personalized lending products. At the same time, the discussion highlighted one of the biggest barriers to successful AI adoption in banking: fragmented data and limited availability of structured digital records.
