AI can write code quickly. But how do you make sure it’s building the right thing? 🤔

That was the focus of our session on "Spec-Driven Development" led by Akansha Fernando, Associate Software Engineer at BISTEC Global Services.

The secret to working with AI isn’t writing the "perfect" prompt. It’s writing a clear spec. 🤩

The session introduced Spec Kit, an open-source toolkit for working with AI coding agents.

📌 Set the ground rules first.

❓ Fill in the logic gaps before the AI starts guessing.

🧩 Plan it out, break it into small tasks, and build iteratively.

As AI becomes a normal part of the dev workflow, the engineers who stand out in internships and jobs won’t be the ones who prompt the fastest. They’ll be the ones who think clearly before they build. 💪
