For the first time, we welcomed Håvard Røyne, CEO & Co-founder of AreaSim, to our office! ☺️

AreaSim AS is transforming how workplace decisions and space optimization are approached through data and technology, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. Håvard spent the week with our team, joining workshops, sharing ideas, getting to know the people behind the product, and enjoying plenty of conversations along the way.

There’s something special about finally meeting the person you’ve been building with and turning a remote partnership into a real connection. Thanks for making the trip, Håvard. Until next time! 👋 ❤️

What does it actually feel like to work as an AI engineer? 🤖
For Skenos, it starts with coffee, getting into the work, jumping between technical problems and client conversations, taking a break for a game of chess, and working things out with the people around him.

AI moves fast, so there’s always something new to learn, test or rethink. Some things click quickly, others take a few tries. And sometimes, the best part is learning from each other and having a bit of fun along the way.⚡😄

🎥Here's a little look into a day in the life of Skenos Peniel, Associate Tech Lead at 99x.

What happens when we make space for people to share what they know? 🎙️

That’s Soundbites, a space for Xians to share ideas, experiences and knowledge, learn from one another, and spark new perspectives beyond their everyday roles.

Our First Wave features four voices, each bringing something different to the conversation: Dilhani Gamhatha | Uvindu Pathirana | Abhiman Ranaweera | Sanjeewa Fernando

Swipe through for the highlights and discover what they had to share. 💡

Our internal AI Agents Hackathon brought teams together to build AI agents around problems they already encounter in their day-to-day engineering work and think about where an AI agent could genuinely add value. Teams moved from ideas to building, testing and presenting their solutions, with five judging panels made up of technical and business representatives evaluating the work. 😎🤖

And then Christian Willoch came in as our special guest judge and took the Norwegian spirit seriously, from the Norwegian row to getting everyone involved, he definitely knew how to keep the room going. By the end of the night, five teams had taken the top spots, but there was plenty to take away beyond the winners. 😄

Swipe through for the lessons ELEVATE left us with and tell us, what is one task you think an AI agent could genuinely make better? ⬇️

The way we do business is changing. And so is the way we lead. As part of our Mini MBA programme with PIM, we had Ravi Jayawardena, Group CEO of Maliban Biscuits, join us for a conversation on what it takes to build, grow and lead in a changing business landscape.

The discussion continued with Ravi and Hasith Yaggahavita, CEO of 99x, sharing perspectives on strategy, leadership, growth and the decisions that shape businesses through change, with Dr. Samantha Rathnayake, Senior Faculty at PIM, moderating the conversation.

Different industries, different experiences, but one thing came through clearly, staying relevant means being ready to rethink the way you lead, adapt and grow.

We welcomed Christian Willoch all the way from Norway. A valued customer who first partnered with 99x over 20 years ago, Christian has since become a true friend of 99x. ❤

Over six engaging days, Christian led an interactive workshop focused on the role of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), bringing together our Sri Lankan and Malaysian teams. The sessions explored what it means to be a successful FDE, highlighting the importance of culture, exploring real-world scenarios, communication styles, decision-making approaches, feedback culture, trust and understanding business needs.

Thanks for making the trip, Christian, we're already looking forward to the next visit! 😄

Echoes of the Jungle brought together jungle vibes, disco beats, and a crowd that kept the energy going all night. From solo performances and group acts to our blind karaoke challenge, every performance was met with louder cheers than the last. 🐒🎤🌴

And when the old gold songs came on, you could hear voices from every corner of the room. Some sang along, others clapped to the beat, and a few couldn't resist getting up to dance. What started as a karaoke night turned into an evening filled with music, laughter, and moments we'll be cherishing. 🎶✨💃
