Before I pressed the shutter ๐ท
I had been watching the morning light slowly weave through the vibrant lily pads, surrounded by the quiet, settling hum of the marsh. This elegant Grey Heron was perched on a fallen log, completely motionless amidst a sea of green water hyacinths. For what felt like an eternity, we shared a long, silent pause, both of us simply existing in the stillness of the water.
The moment: It shifted its weight ever so slightly, locking its sharp gaze on the ripples beneath, entirely focused and poised in perfect, mindful balance.
What I learned: True connection with nature doesn't come from forcing a moment, but from learning how to be quiet enough to let the beauty of the wild unfold around you.
Iโll never forget the gentle warmth of the early sun reflecting off the quiet water, bringing the rich colours of the wetland to life.
