استهدف المهاجمون المستخدمين من خلال برنامج شائع يُعرف بـ DAEMON Tools.
تم حقن كود خبيث داخل ملفات التثبيت، مما جعلها تبدو آمنة وموثوقة.

والأخطر أن الملفات المصابة كانت موقعة بتوقيع رقمي حقيقي، مما صعّب اكتشافها.
الهجوم لا يزال مستمراً.

ويرجّح الخبراء أنه هجوم موجّه.

Cybercriminals targeted users through a popular software called DAEMON Tools.
They secretly added malicious code into the installer, making it look safe and trusted.

Even worse, the infected files were signed with a real digital certificate, which made them harder to detect.
This attack is still ongoing.

Experts believe this is a targeted attack.
