Nanor Der Boghossian is a Beirut-based visual communicator and graphic designer with over 15 yrs of experience in branding, editorial and exhibition design, creating visual identities and storytelling for artists, cultural institutions, and international. Raised in a family of artists, she was deeply influenced by her late mother, Gulène Torossian Der Boghossian, a sculptor and painter, and her si
ster, artist Maral Der Boghossian. She holds a Master’s degree in Visual Communication and Multimedia Web Design from the School of Fine Arts at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA). From 2009 to 2015, Nanor served as Lead Designer at Art Lounge Beirut and Artheum, contributing to the visual communication of major cultural events, including the Beirut Art Book Fair, Beirut Bloom, Beirut Fashion, Beirut Photo Fair, Beirut Furniture Expo, Jewelry Design Week, and Dubai Photo Expo. In 2009, she was commissioned by Art Lounge Beirut Publishing to design Beirut Street Art Vol. I, collaborating with local graffiti artists under the sponsorship of Pikasso Lawhat. Following its success, she designed the second volume in 2012. In 2011, she collaborated with Gallery Laboratoire d’Art to develop the visual identity for the third edition of the Cabriolet Film Festival, overseeing the project from concept through production to promotional materials, in partnership with London Taxi Beirut. From 2013 to 2019, she worked as a Graphic Designer at Khatib & Alami Headquarters in Beirut, contributing to urban planning and development projects across several countries. In 2019, she joined the Armenian Artist Network Switzerland (AANS) as a graphic designer, creating the visual identity and communication materials for the inaugural Armenian Art Experience Switzerland (AAES) in Aarau. Between 2021 and 2022, she served as Lead Visual Communication Designer for Lebanese Yawmiyat (Diaries): Archiving Unfinished Stories of Spatial Violence, developed in collaboration with the University of Exeter as part of the Imagining Futures initiative. In 2021 and 2024, she collaborated with Agenda Culturel on the Beirut Cultural Map (BCM), supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Lebanon and UNESCO. In 2024, Nanor and her sister were selected as 2 of the 92 awardees of the BERYT project, led by UN-Habitat Lebanon and implemented by UNESCO Beirut. She currently works as an independent visual communicator and designer, collaborating with Artists of Beirut (AOB), BeyArt, and Echo Beirut Artspace, supporting artists and cultural initiatives through branding, exhibition design, publications, and visual storytelling.
