MacBook is a brand of Macintosh laptops based on the macOS operating system, developed by Apple Corporation. In 2006, replaced the PowerBook and iBook brands during the transition from PowerPC to Intel x86. The current line consists of MacBook Air (since 2008) and MacBook Pro (since 2006). Previously, lines were produced under the name MacBook: the first version from 2006 to 2012, the second - from 2015 to 2019.

On November 10, 2020, Apple announced the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with the new Apple M1 system, and on October 18, 2021, completed the transition of all MacBook models to the new architecture.
