From May 12 till August 12 of this year, Yeosu will be the host to one of the biggest events the world knows, the World Expo. Under the main theme, The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities, the Expo 2012 offers an excellent opportunity to raise awareness on the threats facing the marine environment and coastal populations and can be an important educational too

l for the general public. Together with a total of 106 countries and 9 international organizations we hope to bring this message across to the world. Under the lead of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) the United Nations and 24 UN entities will be present with a 1.000m2 space at the International Organizations Pavilion. The focus of the UN pavilion will be an exciting mix between multimedia and important facts. Through this way we hope to explain our visitors what they can do to help our planet and showcase the work and expertise of all the participating UN entities. Additionally, the UN pavilion will also explore the challenges, innovations, and solutions of a green economy in the blue world of oceans, coasts and their resources.

8월 9일부터 12일까지 열리는 2012 여수 모의 유엔 회의는 (YEMUN) 유엔관과 경희대학교와 함께 공동 주관, 주최하여 고등학생, 대학생 및 대학원생이 참여하는 회의입니다.

여수 엑스포와 전남대학교 여수캠퍼스에서 진행될 예정인 이번 모의 유엔 회의는 참가자 여러분께서 직접 국제 이슈에 관하여 논의할 수 있는 토론의 장을 마련하였습니다. 이번 회의에서 우수한 실력을 보여준 대표단들은 유명인사들의 참석 하에 명예로운 상을 수상하게 됩니다.

From 9 to 12 August 2012, the UN Pavilion will organize the Yeosu Expo Model United Nations Conference (YEMUN) in conjunction with Kyung Hee University.

Taking place both at Yeosu Expo and Chonnam National University (Yeosu Campus), YEMUN 2012 will offer student participants with a unique opportunity to discuss important global issues. Outstanding delegates will be given awards by some of the most prominent international figures of our day.

안녕하세요 유엔관입니다♥
오늘은 올림픽 개막날이자 UNDP전시의 마지막날이네요. 어린이들에겐 바다를 지키는 약속을 할 수 있는, 어른들에겐 알림의 장과 휴식 공간이 되는 이곳! 또한 유엔관 방문 기념으로 UNDP에서 마련한 포토부스에서 사진도찍고 이메일로 받아보시면 유엔관 관람기억이 더욱 의미있지않을까요. 올림픽이 시작되어도 여러분의 유엔관을향한, 엑스포를 향한 변치않을 사랑 기대하며 모두 굿나잇^.^

오늘은. 얼마전 내일로 여행 중 엑스포 관람을 하러왔던 한 커플을 소개합니다. 빠듯한 일정에고 불구하고 두 분만의 아기자기한 여행북을 만들어 의미있는 여행을 하고 계시더군요! 여러분의 엑스포. 유엔관은 어떤 기억으로 남으셨는지요? 폐막이 한달도 남지 않았네요ㅜㅜ 다양한 소식으로 더 자주 찾아뵙도록 하겠습니다♪ 좋은밤 되세요

OECD 부사무차장님께서 유엔관을 방문하셨습니다.
OECD 전시를 먼저 둘러보시고 유엔관 전시 안내를 받으셨답니다^.^

오늘은 안젤리나졸리가 친선대사로 널리 알려진 유엔난민기구(UNHCR)를 소개합니다! UN관내 갤러리에서는 6월17일~6월 30일까지 유엔난민기구 전시를 하고있습니다. 난민에게 희망의 메세지를 전달해보고, 그 의미를 다시 생각하는 시간을 가져보는건 어떨까요? 그리고 1시~4시까지 난민텐트를 체험할 수 있다는 사실! 잊지마세요♬
