We were delighted to welcome the Bayes Business School Executive MBA delegation and representatives from the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea to the Coupang office in Seoul.

Exploring Global Opportunities with French Food Brands

In early April, the Coupang Global Marketplace's team member participated in a France Buyer Program organized by ANIA and Business France, visiting the Paris and Normandy regions as part of the European food promotion campaign.

The program offered a highly practical agenda, including market briefings on the French food industry, site visits to local producers, and 1:1 meetings with a wide range of European food brands. These discussions focused on evaluating growth potential in Korea and identifying concrete collaboration opportunities.

Engaging directly with brand owners and visiting production sites provided valuable insights into how French food brands communicate quality, origin, storytelling, and sustainability. The experience was further enriched by a guided visit to La Grande Épicerie de Paris, offering perspectives on local consumer trends and product positioning.

From Coupang Global Marketplace perspective, the program delivered meaningful insights on how French food brands can successfully expand into Korea and scale globally.

Connecting Australian Innovation with Korean Consumers.

We were pleased to have our member from Coupang Global Marketplace join Global Victoria’s 2026 Consumer Goods & Beauty, Wellness & Personal Care (BWPC) Inbound Trade Mission in Melbourne.

Over five days, Julie visited leading Victorian manufacturers including Botany Essentials, ANMA, Sukin Australia, and Melrose Health, gaining first‑hand insight into the quality, innovation, and sustainability that define Australia’s beauty and wellness sector.

The program also enabled valuable one‑to‑one conversations with businesses actively exploring expansion into Korea and Asia—highlighting strong mutual interest and readiness for cross‑border growth.

Victoria’s BWPC sector continues to perform strongly, with over AUD 1B in exports in FY2025, reflecting the growing demand from Asia for trusted, high‑quality Australian products.

Following a successful FOOD EXPO Greece, Suri Yang had the honor of presenting to members of ELLA‑DIKA MAS, a community representing the very best of Greek‑owned production.

It was a privilege to engage with iconic brands such as Agrino, Helios Pasta, Mastiha Shop (Mediterra S.A.), Xion, and many others. During the session, we shared a deep dive into Coupang’s business models and explored a strategic opportunity for Greek food producers to enter the South Korean collectively through a government‑funded project level.
