What does it take to make an impact from Day 1?

For our interns in Seattle and Mountain View, it started with trust—the trust to take ownership, explore different approaches, and contribute their own thinking to real challenges across AI, search, infrastructure, and product.

Our interns formed hypotheses and tested them, made recommendations that helped shape project direction, collaborated across functions, and saw how their work could move from experimentation into real-world use.

Along the way, they also discovered something important: meaningful impact isn’t defined by how long you’ve been on a team. It comes from having the opportunity to contribute, the ownership to find a path forward, and the support to turn ideas into action.

Coupang continues to deepen its commitment to digital trust in Taiwan. This year, we are participating for the third time in the Digital Trust Field Verification Program led by the Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) under the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA), introducing e-signature technology into the customs clearance process for Rocket Overseas. Coupang is the first company in Taiwan to bring this innovative application into a consumer-facing use case.

Long used for identity verification in the financial and insurance sectors, e-signature technology is now being applied by Coupang to make cross-border shopping more seamless and secure.

“Coupang will continue to adopt the latest cybersecurity technologies and industry best practices to safeguard our customers’ digital experience. We will also actively support the government’s efforts to foster a trusted digital environment and contribute to a safer and more resilient digital ecosystem in Taiwan,” said Yen-Ju Chou, Director of Security Engineering at Coupang Taiwan.

Protecting customer data and cybersecurity remains a core priority for Coupang. In 2024, we introduced privacy-protected delivery information to safeguard personal data throughout the delivery process. In 2025, we further strengthened account security by rolling out Coupang Passkey across both iOS and Android.

We believe digital trust is fundamental to online retail. Coupang will continue to advance cybersecurity best practices and provide customers with a secure and trusted shopping experience.
