The TCSN8536 is a four-terminal, bus-bar, metal strip current shunt assembled using electron beam welding, rated for a maximum power of 50W at a terminal temperature of 140°C or below. It is offered in three resistance values: 0.025mΩ with a maximum TCR of ±150ppm/°C, and 0.05mΩ and 0.1mΩ each with a maximum TCR of ±100ppm/°C. At the 0.025mΩ value the part supports continuous current up to 1200A under the same terminal-temperature condition. Resistance tolerance options of ±0.5%, ±1% and ±5% are available. Thermal resistance is 2K/W, thermal EMF is held below 1μV/°C from 0 to 100°C, and parasitic inductance is below 5nH. The part operates from –55°C to +170°C and is RoHS compliant and AEC-Q200 qualified.
