You can get the pump down time result graph by just input few numbers. 📈
The colors of the result graph mean whether the pump down time result meets the requirement.
For example, green indicates when the requirements are met, red means when dissatisfied, and black means that it is impossible to compare.

Note that this is a calculation for a simple vacuum system without piping. With piping, the pump down time will be much longer than the result.

The total conductance of piping between the chamber and the pump depends on the lowest conductance of the pipe element in the serial connection.

The unnecessarily excessive capacity of vacuum pumps increases not only investment costs but also increases maintenance costs and carbon emissions due to high power consumption. On the other hand, pumps with too low capacity may not meet vacuum requirements or may not have a sufficient margin for the chamber or processes.

The Pump Capacity Evaluation function of FITVAC Solution helps to prevent the use of over-capacity pumps and allows the selection of optimal pump capacities that meet vacuum requirements or process specification.

When the vacuum system modeling is complete on the program, the Pump Capacity Evaluation function can be activated.

The configuration of the piping has an impact on overall system efficiency, as does the pump capacity. The reason is that low-efficiency pipe elements can lower the effective pumping speed. This can lead to increase pump down time(cycle time) and reduce productivity.

Also, it can lower the gas throughput of the vacuum system. This can lead to increase the chamber pressure when the process gas is injected into the chamber. It can be difficult to get the process pressure by a narrow margin to control.

When designing a vacuum system, it is necessary to check the conductance of piping.
