តំបន់ប្រាសាទសំបូរព្រៃគុក គឺជាទីតាំងអតីតរាជធានីខ្មែរសម័យចេនឡា និងមានឈ្មោះដើមថា “ឦសានបុរៈ” សព្វថ្ងៃស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភូមិសាស្ត្រស្រុកប្រាសាទសំបូរ ខេត្តកំពង់ធំ ។ តំបន់ប្រាសាទសំបូរព្រៃគុក ត្រូវបានកសាងឡើងនៅចុងសតវត្សរ៍ទី៦ ដល់សតវត្សរ៍ទី៨ ក្នុងរជ្ជកាលស្តេចឥសានវរ្ម័ន ដោយបែងចែកជាបីក្រុមសំខាន់ៗ រួមមាន៖ ទី១. ក្រុមប្រាសាទសំបូរ(ខាងជើង) ទី២. ក្រុមប្រាសាទកណ្តាល(ប្រាសាទតោ) និងទី៣. ក្រុមប្រាសាទខាងត្បូង (ប្រាសាទយាយព័ន្ធ ឬនាគព័ន្ធ) ។

នាថ្ងៃទី៨ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ២០១៧ តំបន់ប្រាសាទសំបូរព្រៃគុក ត្រូវបានសម្រេចចុះក្នុងបញ្ជីបេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោក នៅក្នុងកិច្ចប្រជុំគណៈកម្មាធិការបេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោក នៅទីក្រុងក្រាកូវ ប្រទេសប៉ូឡូញ ។

Celebrating the 9th Anniversary of the Inscription of Sambor Prei K*k Archaeological Site on the UNESCO World Heritage List (8 July 2017 – 8 July 2026)

The Sambor Prei K*k Archaeological Site was once the capital of the ancient Khmer kingdom during the Chenla period, originally known as Isanapura. Today, the site is located in Prasat Sambor District, Cambodia.
Sambor Prei K*k was constructed between the late 6th and 8th centuries during the reign of King Isanavarman I. The archaeological complex is divided into three main temple groups:
1. The Sambor Group (Northern Group)
2. The Central Group (Lion Temple Group)
3. The Southern Group (Yeay Poan Temple or Naga Poan Temple Group)

On 8th July 2017, the Sambor Prei K*k Archaeological Site was officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List during the World Heritage Committee meeting held in Krakow, Poland.

As a remarkable testament to the rich history and cultural achievements of early Khmer civilization, Sambor Prei K*k stands as a treasured heritage site for Cambodia and the world. Let us all join together in preserving and protecting Cambodia’s ancient temples so that future generations can continue to learn from and take pride in this invaluable legacy.
