Have You Ever Heard about ENIAC? The First Computer Ever Made… !😃😃😃

ENIAC was the first computer ever made between 1943-1945… (hurray for mankind!!!, but wait)

The US army was desperate to win World War II, and needed something to give them an edge.

They demanded a device that could help them crush their enemies. The result was ENIAC - the first programmable calculator and computer.

Interestingly, women were the first programmers for ENIAC - Hurray for gender equality 🙃🙃🙃 (see the picture attached). Their names were Frances Spence and Betty Kean Jennings.

The job was not easy though. It took days to;

Figure-out each problem
Prepare the computer
Connect the wires
and set up the switches
thank God we don’t have to do this anymore - can you imagine?

Besides, the computer weighed a whopping 27 tons and could fit in an entire house.

For a decade (1945-1955), ENIAC did more calculations than all of mankind at that point, made the war easier, and most importantly;

It inspired the development of more modern and powerful computers that you enjoy today.
