MY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA 2027

Our agenda for Development is our design and my benchmark, an example of our vision and plan for constituency development. It is an examined, not only of our vision, but also of the concerns and the views of the people of Nyeri Town, collectively and individually, regarding its constituency development. My leadership shall have respect for and believes on the people’s possession of their agenda’s, My management shall provide leadership but it is my prayer that the people of Nyeri Town Constituency shall adopt and own this vision. At the end of five years, specifically, the year 2027 or around there, it will once again be judgement time for MP’s. That verdict shall be against well defined criteria and objectives save results being grateful. It is these objectives that I have decided to clearly define in this design. At the end of my future representation, we must be judged against what we promised, planned and achieved. Therefore, ‘My agenda for Development’ is basically a presentation of what I plan and hereby commit myself to achieve in as far as economic development and the empowerment of the people of Nyeri Town in the relevant spheres of life concerned. Development that will stand the test of time, and be of utility to the constituents of Nyeri Town must be well deliberated; it must have a focus, both short and long term. Thus, as the people of Nyeri Town, we must clearly
visualize where we are from, where we are going to, and how we want to go there. It is such a clear vision that will put our beloved constituency on its feet; in as far as economic development is concerned. ‘My agenda for Development’ is a detailed plan of what we aspire to achieve by the end of five years. All the constituents of Nyeri Town are therefore kindly invited to commit themselves to its ideals. They are invited to actively participate, individually and collectively towards the achievement of the plans and ideals herein presented. All are invited to own the ‘Nyeri Town Constituency Dream’.

Once I get elected, I am promising to pursue our County Government of Nyeri to set in motion plans to enact policies which will boost the county sporting affairs. I will work closely with the County Department of Sports in taking advantage of the new dawn with a new constitution to table Laws, which will rail road the badly managed sporting industry. I route for a Nyeri Couty Sports Policy that will produce benchmarking patterns by which the line industry will use to create milestones that shall be covered very fast and afford employment creation to our youth through sport amicably. I have noted with great concern how the County Sports Department has been largely dormant and also lacked legal backing thus my resolve once elected to the Nyeri County Assembly to utilize my legal skills provide a solution. My Nyeri Couty Sports Policy framework intention is to streamline and harmonize all aspects of our county sports by acting as a reference and guideline by outlining procedures in planning, organizational and management of sports. Sports is an industry that should be able to regulate itself with the Nyeri County Government only acting as a catalyst" Its launch heralds a new dawn for Rware Ward Sports as well as in other Wards, which has been characterized by poor state of management and corruption. Unlike most sporting wards including Rware Ward which is the Nyeri County Sports Centre. Once adopted, my Nyeri Couty Sports Policy will streamline all aspects of management and operations of our County sporting industry. According to my policy paper there will be clear policies on

• Sports and Wards Development
• Improving the quality of sports in Nyeri County Governor 2022 • Sports Funding and Marketing which will focus on fundraising and sports publicity
•Sports Facilities, Goods and Equipment
• Athletes Career Education and placement to complement their active careers in sports
• Establishment of a Nyeri County Sports Institute that will address performance standards and training needs
•Legal Framework that will provide protection against malpractices against established sporting norms
•Provision of a Nyeri County Co-ordination and Administration of Sports with clear and well defined roles.

My Nyeri County Sports Policy propel sporting management e.g. soccer, volleyball, swimming,motor racing etc in the County. “ To mention but a few sporting I strongly believe will help harness our young people talents and provide a professional direction on how we can tap it for not only for the sportsmen and sportswomen alone but for the entire County income as well. Kenya’s Cybergame 2025 Awards Recognize Top Cybersecurity Talent

The Principal Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui, delivered the keynote address as the Chief Guest at the Cybergame 2025 Award Ceremony held today at Utalii Hotel. Kenya's Cybergame 2025 is a national initiative designed to identify, nurture, and promote cybersecurity talent across the country.

Over the last 10 weeks, the competition has attracted nearly a thousand registered participants, with approximately 300 actively competing and has successfully engaged a diverse group of individuals, ranging from students to seasoned professionals, all united by a passion for cybersecurity.

PS Tanui underscored that the awards represent more than just recognition; they are a testament to the participants' dedication and accomplishments where he encouraged them to see these achievements as a springboard for continued growth and meaningful contributions within the ever-evolving cybersecurity sector.

Eng. Tanui added, “It's not just a game; it’s a strategic intervention to close the cybersecurity skills gap, build a digitally secure society, and position Kenya as a regional leader in cyber defense.”

The competition featured a wide array of challenges covering key cybersecurity domains. These include Malware Analysis, Digital Forensics, Cryptography, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Offensive Security, and Security Governance and Processes.

In attendance were Ambassador and Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN-Habitat, Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Kenya, H.E. Katarína Žuffa Leligdonová; ICT Authority Acting CEO Zilpher Owiti; KoTDA CEO John Paul Okwiri; Mr. Emmanuel Kata, Secretary, ICT - Security and Audit Control; as well as distinguished partners, sponsors, and other government officials.

The Best in All Categories Stephene Waweru won a MacBook with the other 1O winners bagging themselves laptops and mobile phones.

The awards celebrated outstanding achievements across diverse categories namely Youngest Star; All round performers, industry professionals and top young talent.
