🚨Maybe because of the old interface, we forget that Riccardo Calafiori is the youngest player in the Arsenal first team.

🔸️If we count Ethan Nwaneri, Cala is the second youngest player in the current Gunners squad.

🔸️Riccardo Calafiori was born in 2002 and this year, he is only 22 years old. This is also the second year that Cala has played an important role at a club in the top 5 European national championships.

🔸️And after 8 appearances for Arsenal since the beginning of this season, Cala's strengths and weaknesses have been revealed quite clearly...

🔸️Cala possesses huge potential but similar to Big Gabi when he first arrived at Emirates, Cala still lacks in defensive ability and needs to continue to be honed to perfect his skill set.

I have realized that Mikel Arteta no longer reviews the returning dates of his players.
When Merino got injured, he just said, he is out for weeks, same to Tomiyasu but we just saw the guys back a day before the psg game. The same is around Odegaard, he always says "he is not ready, he is still out for weeks, he is pushing."
No clear date on return month, we would just see the dude back in training a day before a game.

He is the master of the dark arts and it's working for us. Let him confuse the opponents.

Arteta on if he wanted to kill the game earlier: "Yes. Especially the way we played in the first half. How determined and brave we were. We wanted a different second half probably. We had three chances to score the third goal but we didn’t take them."

Arteta on if he sensed more maturity in his side: "I did. I sensed them differently yesterday in the way we were preparing the game. I think they wanted to prove a point tonight that against the top teams at home we can prove that we can be ourselves."

Arteta on Calafiori: "He has the capacity to occupy different spaces and he’s really comfortable with that. That’s why we signed him. He’s a great defender and he’s really brave. He wants the ball and he’s happy to receive it in different areas."

Arteta on Havertz: "So powerful but as well he’s so intelligent. He’s around the box and you have the feeling he’s going to score a goal."
