For years, the industry has said:
“Customers don’t understand insurance.”

At Kakbima, innovation isn’t always loud, but it’s always intentional.

Our team recently completed a major upgrade to the frontend of our platform, moving to the latest version of React (the technology behind the user experience). It was a complex undertaking, but we did it with zero downtime, no disruptions, and a lot of care.

Why does it matter?

✅ Faster performance
✅ A more seamless experience for policyholders, agents, and insurers
✅ A future-ready foundation for continued growth and innovation

We wrote a behind-the-scenes story about the process, what it took, what we learned, and why thoughtful, incremental change is at the heart of how we build at Kakbima.

Over the past few months, I had the opportunity to guide our frontend at Kakbima through one of its biggest transformations since we first launched: upgrading our entire React stack from version 17 to 19.
