Design render vs first prototype.

This is a client’s device we designed at Veno Autobotics for data collection and to control other peripherals.
It has a 3.5 inch touch display, and connects to a cloud platform via 4G or WiFi. This is due for first deployment this week.

When designing the enclosure for an IoT device with a screen, we also have to design the model for the screen. For example this 3.5” screen will be attached on the top part of the enclosure, and therefore, to get a perfect fit and an ideal way to mount, we use the datasheet to model it exactly as is.

We therefore end up with a very accurate model of how the final device will look like even before assembly. This can be good to get feedback from the client before final production.
