πŸš¨βš½οΈπŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ | FKF President Hussein Mohamed and General Secretary Dennis Gicheru are in the United States following FIFA's fully funded invitation extended to all Member Associations for the tournament's opening match.

With Kenya set to co-host AFCON 2027, every opportunity to experience football's biggest events offers valuable lessons in organization, fan experience and tournament delivery.

The two officials will also attend the FIFA Executive Football Summit in Miami on June 13 and 14, where football leaders from across the world will discuss governance, development and the future of the game.

πŸš¨πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ⚽ | Months after wearing the national colours, members of Kenya's futsal team say they are still waiting for their allowances to be paid.

The players and technical bench are yet to receive payments linked to their participation in the Futsal AFCON qualifiers against Namibia.

The qualification tie was played in January, with Namibia hosting the first leg before Kenya hosted the return fixture in Nairobi. The team is now calling for accountability and has appealed to Coast NEC Member Gabriel Mugendi, who led the travelling delegation and served as Head of Delegation, to help resolve the matter.

The delayed payments come amid internal tensions within FKF following the recent standoff involving Vice President McDonald Mariga and a section of NEC members, including Mugendi.

πŸŽ™βš½πŸš¨ | Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has praised the progress made in the FKF Premier League this season, describing the competition as one of the most impressive in recent years.

Olunga singled out the increased prize money for the league champions, noting that the KES 15 million reward marks a significant improvement from previous seasons.

He also applauded FC Leopards for pushing the title race deep into the season and called for better financial rewards not only for the champions but also for runners-up and other top-performing clubs.

"The season is a long journey. We have to motivate teams to compete better and better," said Olunga.

The striker added that continued investment by FKF and sponsors will help raise standards and make Kenyan football more competitive in the years ahead.
