Matching on one spot while blindfolded😂😂... it's always a fun and refreshing time when all our teams come together in the office. The same energy we bring to solving client challenges shows up here too, just with a lot more laughing and a lot less strategy.

Who else's office turns into a full-blown competition the moment the games come out? 🙋‍♂️ Ours definitely did today.

Accessibility isn't a checkbox at the end of a build, it's a design decision made on day one.

Over a billion people live with some form of disability, and most digital products still aren't built with them in mind. Poor contrast, no keyboard navigation, screens that don't talk to assistive tech, every one of these is a door closed on someone who needed in.

When we engineered this project to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, it reinforced something we already believed: accessible code is cleaner code, and inclusive design makes the product better for everyone, not just the people it's built to accommodate.

Software that works for everyone doesn't happen by accident. It's engineered in.

Most companies think they're omnichannel because they're present on every channel. Presence isn't the bar, consistency is.

Here's the gap: a customer opens a chat, gets partway through explaining their issue, then switches to a call because it's faster. Now the agent on the phone has none of that context. So the customer starts over. Multiply that across voice, chat, email, and social, and you get a customer who's had four different "first impressions" with the same company, all in one interaction.

That's the real cost of fragmented channels. It's not just inefficiency. It's the erosion of trust that happens quietly, one repeated explanation at a time, and it shows up in churn long before it shows up in a CSAT score.

Omnichannel done right isn't about adding more touchpoints. It's about making sure resolution quality holds steady no matter which one the customer picks, the same context, the same standard, the same outcome, whether they're typing, calling, emailing, or DMing.

That's the system we build into contact centre operations: one customer record, one resolution standard, across every channel.

AI handles routine well. Order status, FAQs, password resets, simple requests: it's fast, consistent, and available around the clock.

AI excels at routine, well-defined problems but often struggles with exceptions and high-risk scenarios. Those are the moments that shape how a customer feels about a brand.

That's why human-in-the-loop is the model that holds up:

1. Complex queries need judgment. Policy exceptions, complaints, and emotionally charged situations don't follow a script. A person can read context, weigh trade-offs, and make the call.

2. Customers trust people on accuracy. A December 2025 SurveyMonkey study found 79% of people strongly prefer speaking with a human over an AI agent, and 84% believe human agents give more accurate support.

3. Customers want a way out of the bot. When an automated flow can't solve the problem, people expect a clear path to a real person. That escalation path is part of the experience, not a fallback.

The takeaway: AI gives you speed and scale, and people give you judgment and accountability. The hybrid model isn't the trendier option, but it's the more resilient one, and it's built around resolution quality over speed.

Data protection shouldn't be a scramble when the stakes are real.

We partnered with Williamson's Tea to build a data protection framework that goes beyond a checkbox, one that holds up under scrutiny and lets their team respond fast when it matters.

The result? A compliance posture they trust, and a process that no longer feels like a burden to their HR department.

This is what "seamless" looks like when data protection is done right.

A single data mistake can cost more than the fine.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, breaking the rules can mean a fine of up to 3 million Kenyan shillings, or up to 10 years in prison. Under Europe's GDPR, fines can reach €20 million or 4% of a company's global earnings and that's before counting what it costs in lost business: clients walking away because you can't show them how their data is protected, approvals that stall for weeks, and systems that have to be rebuilt under pressure once a client asks the hard questions.

Most providers only think about data protection once a client asks for it. We build it in from the start.

Every system we deliver, software, or AI is built to follow Kenya's data protection law and Europe's GDPR before we ever sit down with a client. That means we're registered with Kenya's data protection office, we check for privacy risks before we start building, we have a clear plan for handling any data breach, and we have the right agreements in place for any project that touches data from Europe. We've walked clients through this before, including helping a tea estate client meet Kenya's data protection requirements. It's what lets us move regulated and international projects forward faster than providers who are still catching up.

Repeat Contact Rate is the metric most CX dashboards bury, and it's the one that should keep leaders up at night.

Everyone tracks CSAT. Everyone tracks AHT. Fewer teams put Repeat Contact Rate front and center, and that's the blind spot.

Here's why it matters more than almost anything else on the dashboard: RCR isn't just an efficiency number. It's a diagnostic. Every repeat contact is a customer telling you, in the clearest way possible, that the first interaction didn't actually solve anything, it just ended.

A low CSAT score tells you someone was unhappy. A high RCR tells you "why" your systems, your knowledge base, or your process failed to close the loop the first time. It's the one metric that points straight at root cause instead of just measuring the symptom.

And it compounds quietly. Every unresolved issue doesn't just frustrate one customer, it generates a second contact, a second agent, a second cost, and a second chance for that customer to decide they're done with you.

If you are only watching satisfaction scores, you're watching the outcome. RCR shows you the leak before it becomes the flood.

Low RCR isn't a nice-to-have. It's the clearest signal you have that your systems, your knowledge base, and your people are actually built to resolve, not just to respond.

Did You Know?

One of the costliest problems in customer service is also one of the most overlooked: the second contact.

Nobody wakes up wanting to contact support twice.

But it happens more often than most businesses admit, a question half-answered, a case "escalated" into silence, a customer left to call back and explain everything again from scratch.

For the customer, that second call isn't a data point. It's wasted time, mounting frustration, and a quiet erosion of trust in your brand.

For the business, it's expensive in ways that don't always show up on a dashboard:

repeat contacts can drive up to 35% of total operating costs in enterprise contact centres. And the cost compounds, because customers forced to reach out twice are roughly 4x more likely to churn.

The real issue usually isn't agent effort. It's first-contact resolution, whether the system, the process, and the people are set up to solve it right the first time.

We think about CX design from that customer's second phone call backwards: what needs to be true in the first interaction so it never happens.

Meet the office ghost, never at their desk, but somehow always where the action is.

Some people hold down a chair. Others hold down the entire team. 😄

That’s the kind of energy that makes Adept feel less like a standard office and more like a crew on a mission.

In custom software development, 70% of off-the-shelf software features go virtually unused by businesses, leading to wasted budget and unnecessary workflow friction.

Did You Know?

70% of off-the-shelf software features go virtually unused by businesses.

Most off-the-shelf platforms are built for the widest possible audience, which means they're packed with features designed for use cases that aren't yours. Your team ends up paying for capabilities they'll never touch, while still hunting for workarounds to handle the workflows that actually matter to your business.

The result isn't just wasted budget. It's:
→ Cluttered interfaces that slow teams down
→ Longer onboarding, because new hires have to learn features they'll never use
→ Workflow friction, as teams build manual workarounds for gaps the software wasn't designed to fill
→ Licensing costs for functionality sitting dormant

Custom software flips this. Instead of adapting your business to fit a generic tool, the tool is built to fit how your business actually operates, from the workflows your team runs daily to the specific reporting, integrations, and processes that off-the-shelf platforms treat as "edge cases."

It's not about building more software. It's about building the right software, lean, purposeful, and shaped around real operational needs.

Might you be experiencing Such. Having so much capability in your software yet it's not functional for your use case?
