Khalil Gibran on Fear 💛
It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.
And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.
Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.
The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.
~ Khalil Gibran

As inhabitants of this wondrous planet we call Earth, we are bound together not by the borders that divide us, but by the common thread of our humanity. Regardless of race, nationality, or creed, we are all members of the human family, born into a world brimming with diversity and endless possibilities.

In the realm of politics, the concept of freedom serves as a beacon of hope and aspiration for countless souls yearning to live their lives unfettered by oppression and tyranny. It is the foundational principle upon which just societies are built, granting individuals the autonomy to express themselves, pursue their dreams, and participate in shaping the collective destiny of their communities.

Yet, true freedom extends beyond the realm of governance and legislation. It encompasses the freedom to love and be loved, to cherish the connections we forge with one another, and to celebrate the richness of our shared experiences. It is a freedom that transcends boundaries and defies categorization, embracing the inherent dignity and worth of every human being.

In the tapestry of religions and belief systems that adorn our world, there exists a common thread that unites us all: the universal language of love. Regardless of our individual faith traditions or spiritual inclinations, love serves as the cornerstone upon which we build our relationships, cultivate compassion, and nurture the bonds that bind us together as one human family.

Love knows no boundaries, no divisions, and no exclusions. It is a force that transcends the limitations of language and culture, bridging the gaps that separate us and illuminating the path towards greater understanding and empathy. In the face of adversity and strife, love offers solace and healing, reminding us of our shared humanity and our capacity to uplift one another through acts of kindness and compassion.

As we navigate the complexities of our world, let us remember that we are all stewards of a precious inheritance: the gift of life on this beautiful planet we call home. Let us embrace the values of freedom and love as guiding principles in our interactions with one another, fostering a world where every individual is respected, valued, and cherished for who they are.

In the tapestry of human existence, let us weave a legacy of compassion, understanding, and solidarity, embracing our shared humanity with open hearts and boundless love. For in the end, it is love that transcends all boundaries and unites us as one global community, bound together by the sacred ties of our common humanity.
