We conducted a Healthcare Accessibility Mapping Project in Ghana, leveraging GIS and spatial analysis to evaluate how communities access essential healthcare services across the country.
Using geospatial data, population distribution, and the WHO-recommended 5 km healthcare accessibility threshold, we identified underserved areas, mapped health facility coverage, and highlighted regions in need of improved healthcare infrastructure. The analysis provides valuable insights for equitable resource allocation, policy development, and evidence-based planning.
Our GIS solutions support:
π₯ Healthcare facility accessibility mapping
π Population coverage and service area analysis
πΊοΈ Health equity and gap assessment
π Spatial decision support for healthcare planning
π SDG monitoring and public health analytics
This project demonstrates how GIS and geospatial intelligence can strengthen health systems by ensuring critical healthcare services are accessible to those who need them most.
At GISTechKE Ltd, we transform spatial data into actionable insights that empower governments, NGOs, and development partners to make smarter, data-driven decisions for healthier communities.
Smarter maps. Better healthcare. Stronger communities.
