Oh Lord, in Your boundless love, You have painted the horizon with hope and possibility. I am in awe of the transformative journey that beckons, where Your grace is both the map and the destination.

Grant me the strength to stride forward with confidence, to embrace the winds of change as Your Spirit stirs the sails of my soul. May I navigate the uncharted waters with a spirit of boldness, knowing You are at the helm of this vessel.

In the face of new challenges, let my spirit be steadfast, my resolve unshaken. For with You, I am a beacon of courage, an embodiment of the faith that moves mountains and crosses oceans.

As I awake on this beautiful Sunday morning, I come before you with a grateful heart. Thank you for the gift of this new day, and for the opportunity to gather with my community in worship.

Dear Lord,

I admire your creation. Through it I learn a lot of lessons.

The fight between an eagle and a snake is one lesson that I get about how you order your creation.

A lot of wisdom and order exists in it. N eagle raises the snake high up in the sky where the snake has no power and the eagle wins.

In my life, the devil messes me up. Prayer is one battlefield that the devil is weakest at.

Today, help me to raise my weakness and addictions high up through prayers. With prayers, I’ll win over all that brings me down.

*AS I BEGIN THIS DAY...*

Heavenly Father, as I begin this new day, I come before you seeking your blessings, and the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Remove from my heart all that is not of you, and remind me of the dangers of power and how it can lead to oppression and tyranny. Lord, help me to reject the world's perspective on power and influence. Teach me to lead in a way that is different from the rulers of this world.

May I not desire to lord over others or seek to dominate them. Instead, grant me a heart of compassion and love, that I may serve and uplift those around me. Show me how to lead by example, just as Jesus did, with humility, kindness, and a servant's heart. Help me to be a source of encouragement, support, and empowerment for others. May my influence be a reflection of your love and grace, pointing others to you.

Lord, I pray for the strength and wisdom to live out these principles in my daily life. May I resist the temptations of power and control and strive to create an environment of love, unity, and humility. Help me to honor you in all that I do, and may my actions bring glory to your name.

Lord, we thank You for the gift of love You have bestowed upon us. Help us show love with wisdom and understanding so our love may be pure and sincere.

As we express our love for one another, may we do so with humility and respect. Give us the courage to speak the truth in love and to practice patience and self-control.

Grant us discernment to see the best in those around us and lead us in the ways of kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. May we grow in our capacity for love so that it may flow from our hearts with joy and gratitude.

Oh Lord, we come before you in awe and reverence, offering our humble thanks for the unconditional love you show us.

We are so grateful for the grace that you have bestowed upon us and the guidance that you provide. Help us open our hearts and minds to understanding the divine love you offer us and become beacons of that love.

Let us strive to emulate your unconditional love in our daily actions and interactions. As we do so, may we be blessed with the strength and courage to become the loving and compassionate people that you have called us to be.

THE BEAUTIFUL GATE EPISODE : PRIORITIZING WANTS OR NEEDS?

Acts 3:5-6

“And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

Peter was very honest in his response to the beggar. He wanted gold and silver, which they (Peter and John) did not have. Despite lacking what the beggar wanted, Peter went ahead and offered him what they had. It might not have appeared very attractive to the beggar at that moment but was nonetheless what he needed most. The irony in the world today and even in the church, many people are busy begging for what they want, spending sleepless nights praying for what they want without realizing that they ought to seek for what they need and not want. Things would change for the better if we request what we need rather than what we want. We are so myopic, spiritually blind that we often focus on our wants. This beggar needed to be healed so that he could fend for himself instead of always begging. Healing would liberate him from disability and poverty.

Beloved, what do you really need? Are you asking for what you want or what you need? Are you asking for the fish or the hook for fishing? Are you asking for money or for a job or business to generate your own income and be a blessing to others. Are you asking for food or for the means to facilitate you to produce your food and share with others? Remember that wants satisfy the desires while needs satisfy the necessities.

May we learn to diligently look for our needs rather than wants. It is time to change our attitudes and have the right focus. Many people are suffering today because they have over focused on their wants while ignoring their needs, some are slowly signing their death certificates too early because they are fighting for their wants and not needs, some have gone the extra mile to sacrifice their comforts just because of the desire to satisfy their wants. Is it not the right time to reflect and reprioritize as we continue in this life?
