On March 13, nine mid-career employees of Hitachi Solutions, Ltd., along with two accompanying staff members, participated in a training program that took them to the birthplace of the Hitachi Group. The visit provided an opportunity to experience the founding spirit and philosophy that have continued since the early days of the company, and to reflect on the roles we play in society today.
The group departed from Bus Terminal Tokyo Yaesu and headed to Hitachi City. Their first stop was Kumano Shrine, where they paid their respects in front of the founding stone and the monument marking the origin of the local school, taking in the aspirations of the company’s early years. They then visited the Nippon Mining Museum, learning about the history, technology, and community ties of the mining industry, and gaining a deeper understanding of Hitachi’s development through the exhibits.
After lunch, they visited the Hitachi Origin Park. Through tours of the Kodaira Memorial Hall and the Founding Workshop, participants were inspired by the passion and ingenuity that shaped manufacturing in Hitachi’s early days.
The insights gained through this program will be applied to their future work and team activities, contributing to the creation of greater social value.
