【Data Center Operations Support Engineer Needed】
We are seeking a dedicated Data Center Operations Support Engineer to manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure at major data center locations in Tokyo (JP1 and TY9). This role offers a unique hybrid work arrangement and a competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations: Perform routine checks (light/status monitoring) and handle service tickets (approx. 15-30 mins daily).
Maintenance & Support: Execute "smart hand" tasks and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
System Management: Maintain dedicated notebooks with security patches and ensure seamless login functionality.
Incident Response: Provide on-site support for rare P1/P2 emergency triggers when necessary.
Coordination: Work closely with the backend team to schedule pre-arranged maintenance tasks.
Work Schedule & Location
Primary Locations: Koto-ku (JP1) and other data center site in Bunkyo-ku (TY9).
Hybrid Flexibility: While on-site presence is required for tasks, the workload allows for flexible arrangements and remote coordination between team members.
After-Hours Support: Includes an average of 6 night or weekend events per month (pre-scheduled, not last-minute).
Qualifications
Language: Fluency in Japanese is essential for communicating with local Japanese coworkers.
Experience: Familiarity with data center environments and basic IT infrastructure support.
Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and maintain consistent communication within a team-based role.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Rate: Approximately 350,000-500,000 JPY/month.
Overtime: Basically no overtime.
Travel: Reimbursement for public transport when traveling between prefectures.
