Ahead of the obligatory inclusion of consumption tax in price displays effective from April, we will start to offer the “Price Inclusion Test”.

The compulsory inclusion of consumption tax in products and services is set to be in effect as of April 2021.

With the incremental increase of consumption tax from 5% to 10%, as a special measure to ensure the smooth and appropriate transition and to avoid incumbent confusion, it was decided that it was acceptable to display prices without including tax.

However, that measure will expire on March 2021 and as of April, tax inclusion will become mandatory and the sales and products industries are striving to implement the necessary measures in time.

Additionally, along with the state of emergency declared in the wake of the Corona virus, there are some who are struggling to meet the requirements due to the extenuating circumstances.

Under these conditions, EG Testing Services will add and edit comprehensive pricing displays via programming access to websites and applications, in addition to discerning between bug programs and formula.

Subsequently those discrepancies will be removed through debugging technology and checks will be performed to ensure that the accurate price is displayed via our “Price Inclusion Test”.
