Avantika & Noel, Wedding invitation

The five-card invitation set for Avantika & Noel’s destination wedding across Kochi, Kerala & SriLanka drew from the unique character of each venue, location and event themes, resulting in a collection that was both deeply personal and unified through a bespoke illustration narrative.

We chose to retain the aubergine purple palette across all the invitations and envelopes, allowing the illustrations to take centre stage and serve as the defining visual element of the invitations.

The cover card took its visual cues from the vernacular architecture of Avantika’s home in Kochi. The intricately carved timber details, wooden brackets and delicate balustrades were reinterpreted as a refined line illustration, transforming the home’s distinctive façade into a symbolic gateway to the wedding celebrations.

Inspired by the Traveller’s Palm, commonly found in both Kerala and SriLanka, this remarkable plant became the defining motif of the Madhuram Veppu invitation. Its striking symmetry and distinctive silhouette makes it the perfect symbolic element.

Madhuram Veppu is a traditional pre-wedding ceremony practised among some Christian and Hindu communities. The term literally translates to “offering sweetness.” It symbolizes the sweet beginning of a new relationship between two families and marks the formal welcoming of the bride or groom into the extended family circle.

As the celebrations unfolded in SriLanka, the design embraces the character of the venue. Inspired by the glamour and geometric elegance of the art deco era, this bespoke illustration captures the timeless elegance of the Noir themed rehearsal dinner, set against Colombo’s skyline.

The dove, symbolizing love, peace and new beginnings, anchors the wedding invitation, while a detailed line drawing of the iconic Galle Face Hotel in SriLanka marks the setting for the evening soirée.

This invitation set concludes with the wedding reception, bringing the celebrations back to Kochi. Paying homage to the Nilavilakku, Kerala’s traditional ceremonial lamp, the illustra

Some logos become brands.

Some become places people remember.

Some end up on packaging, buildings, products and experiences that become part of everyday life.

Looking back at a few of the identities we’ve created over the years, we’re reminded that every mark carries a story. Some took weeks to resolve. Some changed direction halfway through. Some came together in a single moment of clarity.

Looking back, we don’t just see logos. We see people who believed in us, brands that grew with us and a studio that has continued to learn and evolve with every project.

Thank you to every client, collaborator and partner who has been part of this journey.

In response to the challenges posed by corrosion-sensitive environments, Misty Mountain strategically transitioned their packaging from conventional tin caddies to paper tubes.

Beyond enhancing durability and practicality, the new format also reflects a more sustainable approach to packaging. Inspired by their unique ingredients, each handcrafted tea blend is paired with custom illustrations, resulting in a collection that is both distinctive and premium.

Featuring an illustration we did of Koduva that’s part of the visual identity deck we presented to the client.

Imperfect in places, yet carrying a rough-edged charm that feels honest, grounded and true to the spirit of the place.

Sharing the collaterals designed for Koduva, where the spirit of the brand extends beyond the space itself into every touchpoint.

Thoughtfully created with a minimal and grounded approach, each piece carries forward the understated character of Koduva, shaped by restraint, function and a strong connection to the space.

Inspired by the distinctive boomerang-shaped plan of the structure, the logo draws directly from the architecture itself.

As we explored and documented the space, the architectural plan naturally emerged as the primary inspiration for the identity. The name Koduva is divided into three segments and arranged to echo this form, allowing structure and typography to come together seamlessly.

Valuable insights from architect and designer Morten helped shape the final direction. The boomerang, often associated with leisure, ease, and play, reflects the spirit of Koduva as a place to reconnect and recenter.

A stay at Koduva is a soul-enriching experience that leaves a lasting pull to return. No matter how far you go, the essence of Koduva stays with you, much like a boomerang that always finds its way back.

Introducing Koduva, an intentional, sustainable, and nature-aligned private escape in Peerumedu, Kerala. Envisioned by Scandinavian designer Morten Aagren Sveden, it is an eco-conscious retreat conceived as a space that feels both tranquil and reflective.

Let’s begin with the name. Nothing pretentious, just an honest one, drawn from the place itself: KoduvaKaranam.

Koduva is quite literally located in the middle of nowhere, and with that came its own set of challenges. Perched on a hill with no road access, the infrastructure had to be built before the project could even begin. From the outset, the owners, Sanju and Emy, were clear in their vision: ecological sustainability at every possible level. As construction can never be entirely sustainable, the focus was on minimal impact.

Locally sourced recyclable materials (stone, clay, and wood), rainwater harvesting, water conservation systems and solar power, all contribute to the project’s ethos of simplicity, sustainability, and connection to nature.

The pièce de résistance is the natural freshwater swimming pond, created from an existing crater and spanning just under one acre, making it India’s largest of its kind. Its principle is remarkably simple: a carefully planned ecosystem of plants naturally purifies the water, replacing the chemicals used in conventional pools. Here, nature itself becomes the solution.

Koduva is more than a destination, it is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and leave the world behind.
