Application deadline: July 22, 2024 (Please apply early as the reception is expected to be crowded on the day.
Event schedule
〇 Misogi ritual at Omi Shrine for regular members and the first 50 applicants
Meeting place: Omi Shrine grounds
Reception time: 4:20 (after changing clothes) After completing the ritual)
Start time: Sunrise 4:51 (formal worship at 5:30 after regular purification)
Participation fee: 1,000 yen
〇 Purification ceremony at Isehama by general participants
Meeting place: Isehama beach
Registration time: 6:00 (after changing clothes)
Start time: 6:30
Participation fee: 1,000 yen and up (a portion of the participation fee will be used to support the reconstruction of the Noto disaster area)
◎ Men must wear loincloths, women white clothing (wear a swimsuit, T-shirt, etc. under the white clothing)
*Please note that there are no showers or changing rooms available due to the ritual.
About Misogi
Misogi is performed to cleanse sins and impurities and return to a pure state
It is not only a physical purification, but also a purification of the mind

・Participants must approach with a pure mind and body
・Follow the proper etiquette at shrines
・Remember to be considerate of the environment
・Stay away from areas where rip currents occur
・Do not push yourself if you are feeling unwell
・Do not enter the sea after consuming alcohol
・Avoid noise and nuisances such as parking on the street
・Children must be accompanied by a guardian, and we ask that parents also cooperate with safety measures
