🎤 医機連シンポジウム with LINK‑Jに登壇しました 🙌

医機連シンポジウム「日本の医療機器産業 2040成長戦略、延長戦からの脱却」にテンクーの西村が登壇いたしました。

2025年に日本医療機器産業連合会（医機連）に「スタートアップ共創推進室」ができ、既存企業とスタートアップの連携について考え、率直な意見交換をして参りました。医機連の山本会長、共創推進室の青山室長のリーダーシップのもと、西村も室員として参加し、半年間、2週間に1回のディスカッションを重ねてまいりました。

このシンポジウムはその報告会の位置付けでもあり、また白書「医療機器産業イノベーション戦略2.0－スタートアップ共創による産業構造転換－」のお披露目の日でもありました。日本の医療機器産業の成長戦略を考える上で、スタートアップとの共創のためのコミュニティにもなってきています。お互いを知り、事業ストーリーを考え、プロモーター人材として社内外を繋くメンバーとのコラボレーションが大事と考えてます。

医療機器の診断系、治療系、材料系、装置系などの4象限に分けて考えていくなど、解像度を上げて議論ができました。ぜひ白書もご覧ください。

Dr. Kuni Nishimura, CEO of Xcoo, spoke at the symposium hosted by the Japan Federation of Medical Devices Associations (JFMDA) and LINK-J, themed:
“Japan’s Medical Device Industry 2040 Growth Strategy: Breaking Away from Conventional Extensions” on March 17, 2026.

In 2025, JFMDA established the Startup Co-Creation Promotion Office to explore collaboration between established corporations and startups through open and candid discussions. Under the leadership of Chairman Yamamoto of the JFMDA and Director Aoyama of the SU Co-Creation Promotion Office, our CEO also joined as a member of the office and participated in biweekly discussions over the past six months.

This symposium also served as a presentation of the office’s activities and the unveiling of the white paper:
“JFMDA Innovation Strategy 2.0 – Industrial Transformation through Startup Co-Creation.”

The initiative has grown into a vibrant community focused on exploring growth strategies for the medical device industry through collaboration with startups.
We believe that mutual understanding, developing shared business narratives, and collaboration with people who can connect organizations internally and externally are all essential to successful co-creation.

Discussions also explored the industry through the Four Quadrants of Medical Devices enabling more detailed and practical conversations:
- Business/Technology Axis: Medical Technology–Based / Material–Based
- Clinical Function Axis: Diagnostic / Therapeutic

🧬 STS forum Japan-Thailand Symposium 2026にて口頭発表 🇹🇭

タイ・バンコクにて開催されたSTS forum Japan-Thailand symposium 2026にて、テンクー代表の西村が口頭発表とポスター発表を行いました。タイの副首相Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat、タイ国家学術調査委員会(NRCT)の所長のDr. Wiparat De-ong、タイ高等教育科学研究イノベーション省(MHESI)の事務次官Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul、大鷹正人在タイ日本国大使、土屋定之STSフォーラム専務理事も開会式にいらっしゃった大きなシンポジウムでした。

STSフォーラムは、科学技術と人類の未来に関する国際会議 (Science and Technology in Society forum) で、科学技術のダボス会議を目指してつくられました。毎年日本がリードし京都で開催されていましたが、今回初の地域開催として、タイにてシンポジウムが行われました。本シンポジウムは、NRCT、MHESI、STSフォーラムが主催となり "The Great Convergence : AI-Driven Health, Environment and Bio-Economy" をメインテーマに開催されました。

西村は、タイの保健省、マヒドン大学シリラート病院、BDMSグループN Health Novogene Genomicsとテンクーとの4者プロジェクトであるAIを用いたゲノム医療の解釈の仕組みの構築についてプレゼンを行いました。医療の各国の違いをローカライゼーションで吸収して展開していくというスキームを紹介し、日本とタイでの仕組みの成果をうまく東南アジアにも広めていきたいと紹介しました。多くの方に聞いて頂き、会場では大変好意的にプロジェクトを受け取ってもらえました。

The STS Forum (Science and Technology in Society Forum), often referred to as the “Davos of science and technology,” was established in Japan and is held annually in Kyoto. This symposium marked its first regional event in Thailand, co-hosted by NRCT, MHESI, and the STS Forum. The main theme was “The Great Convergence: AI-Driven Health, Environment, and Bio-Economy.”

Dr. Kuni presented the four-party MOU project involving the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, Siriraj Hospital (Mahidol University), N Health Novogene Genomics (a subsidiary of BDMS Group), and Xcoo. His presentation focused on AI-powered interpretation in genomic medicine, highlighting a framework that integrates a general AI engine with a localization engine to address country-specific clinical practices.

The presentation attracted significant interest and received highly positive feedback from the audience.

🚉 GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2026に出展しました！

2026年5月13日・14日にTAKANAWA GATEWAY CITYで開催された「GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2026」にブース出展いたしました。
昨年に続き、今回で2回目の出展となります。
昨年、同イベントの「TAKANAWA PITCH」にて、PHD Lab.賞もいただき、今年も多くの方に当社の取り組みをご紹介する貴重な機会となりました。

🇲🇾 マレーシアHospital Tunku Azizahにて、テンクーの西村がセミナーの機会をいただきました 🧬

マレーシア・クアラルンプールにある国立女性・小児病院であるHospital Tunku Azizah (HTA) にて、テンクー代表の西村が「Chrovisを用いたがんゲノム医療とAIとの架け橋」と題してセミナーの機会をいただきました。
セミナーでは、ゲノム医療の情報解析から解釈、バイオインフォマティクス、インフラストラクチャ−、UI/UXなどについて全体的なお話をさせていただき、ディスカッションでは多くの方に、がんや希少疾患に貢献されている病院現場での取り組みについて伺うことができました。Hospital Tunku Azizahの皆様、ありがとうございました。

🇲🇾 Giving a Seminar at Hospital Tunku Azizah in Malaysia 🧬

Dr Kunihiro Nishimura, CEO of Xcoo, delivered a seminar at Hospital Tunku Azizah (HTA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—a specialized hospital for women and children.

His talk, titled “The Integration of AI in Precision Oncology by Xcoo (Chrovis),” covered the end-to-end workflow from data analysis to clinical interpretation in genomic medicine. He also shared perspectives on bioinformatics, system infrastructure, UI/UX design, and the broader informatics landscape.

The session included valuable discussions, and he had the opportunity to learn about current clinical practices in cancer care and rare diseases, particularly in pediatric molecular diagnostics.

🧬 AWS Genomics Community Day in Malaysiaにて登壇 🇲🇾

テンクー代表の西村が、AWS Genomics Community Day in Malaysiaに参加・登壇させていただきました。ゲノム医療においてAIが貢献できることを話題に、テンクーが行ってきた具体的な事例として、データの収集・抽出、知識データベース化、レポーティングなどに分けて、LLMを活用例として紹介しました。また、解釈の負担を減らしていく仕組み、そして、タイと一緒に取り組み始めているAIを用いた解釈のローカライズの仕組みを紹介しました。そして、これらの技術を用いて、マレーシアのゲノム医療に貢献していきたい旨を話させていただきました。

イベントを通じて、1月に一緒にゲノム医療とAIのワークショップを開催させていただいた保健省のDatuk Dr Nor Fariza 氏、Dr Adiratna Mat Ripen 氏にも会ってお話しできました。また、マレーシア国立大学のDatuk Dr. A. Rahman A. Jamal 先生とも再会できました。また、プレゼンターの皆さんとも有意義な交流ができました。そして、参加者の方ともお話しできたり、繋がれたりしました。皆さん、ありがとうございました！

マレーシアでのゲノム関連のコミュニティが育ってきているように感じたところです。

🧬 Participate as a presenter at AWS Genomics Community Day Malaysia 2026 🇲🇾

Dr. Kuni Nishimura, CEO of Xcoo, had the opportunity to participate as a presenter at AWS Genomics Community Day Malaysia 2026.

It was a great platform to share Xcoo’s work and discuss how AI can contribute to precision oncology. In his talk, he outlined three key areas where AI/LLMs can support genomic medicine:

* Data collection and extraction from journal papers and clinical trial texts
* Knowledge aggregation and accumulation through curated genomic databases
* Generation of personalized reports with interpretation based on genomic mutations

He also highlighted that the major bottleneck in genomic medicine is interpretation, and introduced a framework to reduce this burden. At the same time, interpretation is not universal; localization is essential. He shared our collaborative project between Japan and Thailand, focusing on AI-powered interpretation with localization.

Ultimately, we hope to contribute to advancing cancer care and genomic medicine in Malaysia.

During the event, he had the pleasure of reconnecting with Datuk Dr Nor Fariza (Deputy Director-General of Health, Ministry of Health) and Dr Adiratna Mat Ripen (Head of Cancer Research Centre, Institute for Medical Research (IMR), National Institutes of Health), who organized the AI and Genomic Medicine workshop with us in January, as well as Professor Datuk Dr. A. Rahman A. Jamal (Head of Strategy, Senior Principal Research Fellow, UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute). He also had the opportunity to engage with fellow presenters and many participants. Thank you to everyone for the great discussions.

It was inspiring to see how the genomics community continues to grow in Malaysia.

Finally, we would like to express my sincere appreciation to the AWS team, especially Dr. Charlie, for organizing such a wonderful event for the community.

📄 共同研究成果が国際学術誌「ESMO Open」に掲載

このたび、テンクーが西日本がん研究機構(WJOG)らと共同研究として参画した研究成果が、欧州臨床腫瘍学会 (European Society for Medical Oncology：ESMO) が発行する国際査読付き学術誌 「ESMO Open」 に掲載されました。

本論文「Gene-Testing and Prognosis in Postoperative Recurrent Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: Subgroup Analyses of WJOG15421L」は、 術後再発非小細胞肺がんにおける遺伝子検査と予後の関連を検討した研究であり、臨床的意義の高い知見を示すものです。

術後再発非小細胞肺がんの症例において、多遺伝子パネル検査は44%しか実施されておらず、十分な手術標本が入手可能であるにもかかわらず低いことが明らかになりました。周術期の個別化医療の進歩に伴い、多遺伝子パネル検査の早期実施は、切除された患者の予後改善に向けた最も重要な課題の一つです。

テンクーは今後も、医療機関および研究機関との連携を通じて、科学的エビデンスの創出と医療現場への実装を推進してまいります。

📄 Collaborative Research Published in the International Journal ESMO Open

We are pleased to announce that the results of a collaborative research project with WJOG in which Xcoo participated have been published in ESMO Open, a peer-reviewed international academic journal published by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).

The paper, titled “Gene-Testing and Prognosis in Postoperative Recurrent Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: Subgroup Analyses of WJOG15421L,” investigates the relationship between genetic testing and prognosis in patients with postoperative recurrent non-small cell lung cancer and provides clinically significant insights.

This paper shows that multigene testing was conducted in only 44% of post-operative cases, highlighting its underutilization in post-operative recurrent NSCLC cases. Early multigene testing is crucial for advancing personalized perioperative care.

Xcoo will continue to promote the generation of scientific evidence and its implementation in clinical practice through collaboration with medical and research institutions.

🧬 AWS Genomics Community Day Bangkok での発表とブース展示 🇹🇭

AWS Genomics Community Day Bangkokに参加させていただきました。テンクー代表の西村がプレゼンし、Partner Solutionとしてテンクーのブース展示をしました。

タイのゲノム医療やGenomics Thailandの関係者が一堂に集まり、ゲノム医療とAIとの関係を議論し、交流するイベントです。西村も、初めてお会いした方、再会した方とも有意義に議論できました。また、プロジェクトを一緒に行っているProf. Manop (Siriraj Genomics), Dr. Thidathip, Dr. Piroon, (Siriraj Long Lead Lab), Dr. Ittiporn (N-Health)の順番でのプレゼンで、皆さんと連携した発表にもなり、充実した1日でした。

🧬 Xcoo's Presentation and Booth Exhibition at AWS Genomics Community Day Bangkok 🇹🇭

Dr. Kuni Nishimura, CEO of Xcoo, participated in the AWS Genomics Community Day Bangkok. He had his presentation about “How AI can support Precision Medicine; from Data Analysis to Clinical Interpretation”. Xcoo had a booth exhibition as AWS partners solutions Hall.

This was a great event to get together of stakeholders in genomics, genomic medicine, and the Genomics Thailand project. Participants discussed “Genomics and AI” and communicated each other. Kuni was able to meet and to reconnect with various stakeholders and enjoyed discussions.

Presentations were the great order with our project members; Prof. Manop (Siriraj Genomics), Dr. Thidathip, Dr. Piroon, (Siriraj Long Lead Lab), Dr. Ittiporn (N-Health). We could refer each presentation. It was a wonderful day.

We truly appreciate all the participants we met, AWS members who organized and operated the amazing event, especially for Dr. Charlie from AWS Genomics Team.

🇺🇸 テンクーは Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate プログラムの2026年2月コホートに参加します。本プログラムは、専門家の知見や匿名化された縦断的な臨床データへのアクセスも含めた30週間のプログラムです。

本プログラムへの参加は、 JETROが経済産業省の協力を得て実施するJ-StarX AI-Medicalコース 医療データ活用プログラム(Phase 2) に採択していただき、実現しています。

プレシジョン・メディシンやがんゲノム医療は世界的に広がりつつありますが、がん患者さんから見つかるゲノムバリアントの解釈には、依然として医師の大きな負担が伴います。Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerateプログラムを通じて、私たちのアプローチを 米国のヘルスケアシステムに適合する形で検証し、スケールさせていく ことを目指しています。

2026年3月第1週には、米国ミネソタ州ロチェスターで開催された Welcome Week に参加し、プログラムメンバーや同じコホートのスタートアップと顔合わせを行いました。この素晴らしいエコシステムから学びながら、がんゲノム医療の未来に貢献していきたいと思います。

🇺🇸 We are excited to join the February 2026 cohort of the Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate program. This 30-week program offers access to de-identified, longitudinal clinical records to develop and validate AI-driven healthcare solutions along with expert mentors within fields of interest.

Our participation in this program was made possible after Xcoo was selected for the JETRO J-StarX AI-Medical Course Phase 2 program, and we are deeply honored for this opportunity.

Precision medicine and precision oncology are rapidly expanding worldwide. However, physicians still face a significant burden when interpreting genomic variants identified in cancer patients. Through the Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate program, we aim to validate and scale our approach so that it can be effectively utilized within the U.S. standard of care.

In the first week of March we flew to Rochester, Minnesota, where Mayo Clinic is headquartered for a program welcoming event. Here, we met the organizers as well as fellow startups in the same cohort, and we look forward to learning from this incredible opportunity and contributing to the future of genomic medicine in oncology.
