Great partnerships start with shared values

Our partnership with Christian Foley started last year with a shared love of words, storytelling and inspiring young minds. Since then, we’ve kept the story going.

This year, that meant taking it from Torrance Primary School in Glasgow back to the Jersey Festival of Words, working with brilliant people and organisations along the way to help inspire the next generation of storytellers.

Only two weeks to go until the 8th annual Digital Jersey Hub TechAwards.

This year, we’re excited to be sponsoring the new One to Watch Award. Curiosity is one of our core values at Switch, so we love supporting an award that celebrates emerging talent and the businesses and people already helping shape what comes next for Jersey’s digital sector.

A huge good luck to our One to Watch finalists: LinkLocal, Aaron Henry and Charlie Morgan, and to everyone shortlisted for an award this year!

What a way to round off an incredible week!

On Saturday, we partnered once again with the brilliant Christian Foley at the Jersey Festival of Words, joined by the incredible Michael Rosen for an hour of poetry, rhythm, rap and rhyme.

A huge thank you to Christian, Michael, the Festival team and everyone who joined us. Special thanks to our fantastic book partner MasonBreese for helping make sure every family could take a book home and keep enjoying stories long after the event.

This summer, we welcomed Eilidh back to the office for her fourth summer internship with us. Over the eight weeks, Eilidh worked from both our Jersey and Glasgow offices, contributing to a range of projects across the business.

Eilidh reflected on her time with us and shared some of her highlights: ’I've really enjoyed being back at Switch this summer. Getting to work on a variety of projects over the eight weeks has given me the opportunity to get involved in different areas of the business and learn from the team. It has been really nice to be back for a fourth summer and have the opportunity to work from both the Jersey and Glasgow offices.’

She will be returning to university for her fourth year and we’re excited to have her continue working with us alongside her studies.
