Celebrating this World Photography Day looking back at some of the most creative and emotive photographs our team came across this past year.

At Art Garde we want to harness the power of blockchain to empower creators across mediums. Blockchain can help creators of digitally uploaded works, like photographs, track who and how their work is being used which enables to collect licensing fees and royalties for reuse and resale.

All rights of the images used are reserved with the artists and their estates.

Teppala Kodanda Rao, a graduate of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking, furthered his education by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking at MSU, Baroda. His artistic journey encompasses a seamless transition into working with oil and acrylic, demonstrating his versatility and mastery across various artistic avenues.

Noteworthy exhibitions include Baroda's 'Faculty of Fine Arts Alumni Group Show,' New Delhi's curated 'Terrain Offline,' Mumbai's 'Kala Ghoda Festival,' and international participation in Art Fair Singapore. Kodanda Rao's talent has earned him prestigious national awards, including the 77th AIFACS award, and a notable mention at the 6th Bhavan International Biennale of Printmaking.

Kodanda says- "I paint beaches, water and natural landscapes, because they are the connection to my native village, in rural Andhra Pradesh in Southeast India. Near it is the open bay of the Bay of Bengal. These images take e back to my childhood. The landscape thrills me. These paints are a celebration of nature and seek to transmit a sense of communion, freedom and peace. A joy of realising our interconnectedness and the beauty of being whole."

Let's talk about- Madonna Litta, Leonardo Da Vinci

This mother's day, let's take a look at the serene beauty of Madonna Litta, a masterpiece by Leonardo Da Vinci capturing the tender moment between Mother Mary and the infant Christ.

The painting's composition is expertly crafted, with Mary's figure placed at the center and her face beautifully illuminated by soft light. The delicate folds of her robes and the intricate patterns of her veil are rendered with stunning realism, showcasing da Vinci's mastery of light and shadow.

As you study the painting, you'll notice the subtle details that make it truly remarkable. The way Mary's hand cradles Christ's head, the gentle curve of her neck, and the intricate textures of her clothing all come together to create a sense of peace and harmony.
